As the old adage goes; It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. And that couldn’t be more true for 15 Elite at the SCVA Boys Invitational. After dropping the first two matches of the tournament, the squad regathered and responded by winning the final 6 matches. 

“The boys showed a lot of character at that tournament. Made me proud to be their coach. Most people, most teams…they give up in that situation. It’s easy to do. But these boys didn’t. They got together and decided they didn’t want to go out like that. And they didn’t,” said head coach Taase Mose. 

15 Elite’s incredible streak included huge wins against Legacy, Balboa Bay, and Bay to bay. Their epic turnaround can’t be contributed to better passing, or serving, or any skill really. It was true teamwork and collective desire. And a great way to finish the fall season. 

“Can’t wait to get them back after their high school seasons. We really came together as a team and I look forward to building off that in the spring,” said a determined and joyful Mose.
